School is around the corner, and being back in my apartment has become inspiring to search for more and more things on fashion.
Polka dots are the one.

Fringe & Art
My roommate from college is currently visiting me, so we decided to take a trip to the Salvador Dali Museum. Dali is one of my favorite artists! He is one of the most brilliant and crazy person ever!
Dali had such a quench for art, even fashion!
I could not take my pictures because of the strict rules of the museum, but the building itself was rather spectacular!

I really think fringe will be my new thing this fall-because yesterday I also got another fringe bag.
Walk the talk and admire and learn about the art around you-you might be inspired!

Another great addition to the day was a much awaited bag that I had ordered arrived today!
A Jeffrey Campbell backpack for the new school year! It is known as the "Natural Rizzler"
I want to go back to school, just so I have an excuse to use this bag!

Fall in Love
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year! I think that it is when you have the best chances to dress well and show off your style.
In getting into the spirit, I have been looking at the upcoming fall trends expected for this year.
The sixties are back and expect people to take subtle hints from their favorite style icons such as Aubrey Hepburn and Jackie O'
This was the time that the mini was developed and when world peace was the main concern.
Many of today's designers took concepts and made them their own, like anything else with designers and fashion, style is cyclical but always evolving.
For example, that Yves Saint Laurent's 70's style was recently on everyone's minds so I think to turn to 60's for the next season seemed the most reasonable.
Here are some runway pictures from Fall 2011collections:
A trend that will please many is the continuation of color blocking into fall. This will be the main trend that will allow many to transition from the summer months into the fall with some of the same pieces of clothing.
A similar trend to color blocking as well as a good transition trend, is the mix and match of both patterns and textures.
Take that flowy skirt from the summer that might be a light linen or a possible lace and pair it with a past fall blazer in tweed or a leather jacket.
In talking about fashion being cyclical, another trend that is being recycled is faux fur. There is an update to the rend however, with doing bolder designs to bolder colors.
Another popular trend for this fall is, my favorite, the tuxedo jacket. A tribute to the trend here to stay-menswear. Nothing is bigger than the generalized relationship between fashion and those questioning whether something is feminine or masculine.
Androgynous models, looks, and clothing all find themselves to thrive in the world of fashion.
There are a couple of other trends but I really should be going to bed, so this will be continued tomorrow.
Walk the talk and follow the trends....but do make them your own!!

Animalistic
I am someone that has always followed the animal print inspired trends. Leopard print is something that I have always seemed to love, down to my childhood favorite, a purple leopard print velour tracksuit.
My favorite trend this summer has been the snakeskin trend. I find that it is more subtle than other animal prints, but has the same capacity to wow and to feel a little bit more sexy and wild.
Between the colors and the style of the prints, I really think snakeskin is a more subtle way to bring in that exotic factor that people like from animal prints.
Walk the talk and feel like wild child in your snakeskin ensemble!

Here are some pieces that I have picked up during the summer, but only by chance were all of them Michael Kors :)
